- The applicant shall be one who follows Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and can articulate the Gospel and their testimony in any situation.
- The applicant has a strong history of active participation, attendance, or membership in a church with doctrine and beliefs that are in alignment with the school’s Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality and have multiple references able to verify the same.
- The applicant will be able to articulate their plan to systematically use the game of golf to disciple young people (Proverbs 22:6).
- The applicant will be able to give tangible evidence of investing in their community for God’s glory.

Professional and Technical
- Significant, proven success as a Golf Pro, Head Coach or high-level Assistant Coach at the varsity upper school and/or collegiate level is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a comprehensive golf program, including staff management and player development.
- Strong knowledge of advanced golf strategies, swing mechanics, and course management.
- Excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications, or a willingness to obtain them.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement a vision for Christian discipleship that is integrated into every level of the golf program.
- Lead, mentor, and direct all assistant and Upper School golf coaches to ensure a unified and effective coaching philosophy.
- Plan, organize, and lead all Varsity golf practices and manage all aspects of in-match coaching and strategy.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive, year-round plan for player development, including in-season, off-season, and summer training opportunities.
- Manage all administrative aspects of the golf program, including budget creation and management, scheduling of all matches and practices, and transportation coordination.
- Foster positive relationships and clear communication with players, parents, school administration, and the broader FBCA community.
- Build and maintain relationships with local golf facilities and with college coaches to create opportunities for student-athletes.
- Monitor and support the academic progress and eligibility of all student-athletes in the program.
- Oversee the inventory, care, and purchase of all program equipment and uniforms.
- Ensure the golf program and its staff operate in full compliance with all TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and demonstrate golf-related movements.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move equipment (e.g., golf bags) weighing up to 50 lbs.
- The position regularly requires that work be performed during afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends during the golf season.

Performance of these responsibilities will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
