Description

We're seeking a dynamic science educator to join our faculty at Fort Bend Christian Academy for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will teach 8th grade Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC), a upper school credit course, with a strong emphasis on STEM project-based learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds at the critical middle-to-upper school transition while building a solid foundation in physical sciences.

 

What Makes You an Ideal Candidate:

  • A demonstrated ability to teach middle school science with upper school-level rigor
  • Experience designing and implementing hands-on STEM projects
  • A passion for making physics and chemistry concepts accessible and engaging for 8th grade learners
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or related scientific field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience teaching middle school or upper school science is preferred
  • Strong laboratory management skills and commitment to safety protocols
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools for science instruction
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of professional, timely communication with students and parents
  • A service-oriented mindset focused on supporting student success

  • Create engaging, hands-on laboratory experiences that integrate physics and chemistry concepts
  • Design and implement STEM projects that apply scientific principles to real-world challenges
  • Teach IPC curriculum aligned with upper school credit standards
  • Develop critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills in young adolescents
  • Integrate appropriate technology tools to enhance scientific exploration and data analysis
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and inform instruction
